IEEE Smart Village’s (ISV) is an Institute-wide humanitarian initiative of the IEEE, dedicated to uplifting impoverished communities around the globe. Its primary mission is to foster the growth of local enterprises, to enhance livelihoods through education, entrepreneurship, electrification and the productive use of IEEE technology within community-based self-sustaining and scalable business models.
ISV works with communities to build and sustain solar-powered electricity systems. Through a global network of local entrepreneurs, expert engineers, and passionate volunteers, we work together in partnership to empower local economies, create job opportunities, and foster education programs that help communities around the world take the reins and continually improve their quality of life. The ISV Program
The ISV program at PAC 2024 will be distributed across sessions scheduled from October 7 to 12, 2024. Several sessions will be open to the general body of PAC registrants while others will be limited to ISV participants.
