The IEEE Entrepreneurship Program is organizing a fantastic Entrepreneurship Workshop in coordination with the IEEE PowerAfrica Conference 2024 (PAC’24). The Workshop will run for three days from Saturday to Monday, right before PAC’24 kicks off on Tuesday and is totally FREE to ISV registrants.
ISV has secured a limited number of spots for ISV members out of the 40 total available seats. These spots are open to all ISV-funded Developers, aspiring entrepreneurs, and volunteers of significance. If you are going to PAC’24 as an ISV delegate, you should definitely join this Workshop.
Do you have an idea or invention that you want to turn into a business? This Workshop will teach you how to do that. Do you want to learn how to create a great business plan, pitch to investors, and run a profitable operation? Then this Workshop is for you.
We are looking for ISV-member participants who will work in teams to develop their ideas and then pitch to judges on the last day. The winning team will get a prize.
The Workshop will take place. Date and venue are yet to be decided. The workshop will also have (2) virtual calls in the two weeks before the Workshop to collect your ideas and to form the teams. You will work in teams of about 5 people to develop your pitch deck.
At the workshop, participants will learn about topics like Taking an Idea to Market, Lean Business Model Canvas, Marketing and Digital Marketing, Value Proposition, Finances, Intellectual Property, Contracts and Negotiation, Leadership Soft Skills, and hear from experts on local investment opportunities, local entrepreneurial success stories and more. You will also get mentoring from a team of experienced inventors and entrepreneurs.
