Prof. Georges ZISSIS
Full Professor and Vice-Rector of Toulouse 3 University (France). His primary area of work is in the field of Light Sources Science and Technology. He is especially interested in lighting systems; system and metrology issues for solid-state lighting systems; normalization and quality issues for light sources; impact of lighting on energy use, environment, quality of life, health and security.
In December 2006, he won the 1st Award of the International Electrotechnical Committee (IEC) Centenary Challenge for his work on the normalization of urban lighting systems. He was President of IEEE Industrial Applications Society for 2019-20. He is Chairman of the 4E-Solid State Lighting Annex of the International Energy Agency and IEEE FDC Smart Lighting Project.
