Eng. Mizinga Chipuwa Moonga
Eng. Mizinga Chipuwa Moonga, is currently a Technical Executive Officer at ZESCO Ltd. ZESCO Ltd is a 100% state owned power utility with the mandate to Generate, Transmit and Distribute power to all its customers locally and abroad. It owns its own power generation of about 2600MW of which 99.9% hydro It procures power from IPPs to the tune of 800MW. ZESCO Ltd has about 1,300,000 million customers.
He obtained his bachelor’s degree (BEng.) in Electrical Machines and Power System Engineering at The University of Zambia in 2007. He later obtained his Master’s degree (MSc). in Electrical Engineering (Electric Power Engineering) and specializing in Power Electronics for Power Systems at Norwegian University of Science and Technology in 2011.
He is a seasoned engineer with over ten (15) years of work experience in Power Generation, Transmission and System Operations. He also has experience in Power System Studies and Renewable Energy Integration.
