Dr. Eng. Kabwe Mulenga
Dr. Eng. Kabwe Mulenga is currently a Chief Engineer (Research) under the Renewable Energy department at ZESCO. As ZESCO drives the mandate to harness more Solar and Wind Energy, Dr. Mulenga is leading the research team under Renewable Energy.
She received the B.Eng. degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Zambia, Zambia, in 2012, a M.Eng. degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Harbin Institute of Technology, China, in 2016 and a Ph.D in Systems Engineering and Engineering Management from City University of Hong Kong in Hong Kong in 2019. Her master’s thesis research was in mechanical manufacturing technologies and ultra-precision machining and her PhD research included failure analysis, risk and decision analysis, and reliability engineering. Her research interests further include Renewable Energy.
She has vast experience (10 years) across the industry as both an academician and professional in the industry. She is member of the Engineering Institution of Zambia (MEIZ) and Registered Engineer in Zambia (R.Eng).
